Has anyone been thinking that I’ve been a bit lackadaisical with my blog posts of late? That I’ve been neglecting a commitment I made not even two months ago? Has anyone been wondering what the devil I’ve been up that’s been keeping me from anything more than the briefest of blog posts just once a week, and sometimes not even that?
(I’m pretending there’s no chance nobody’s been missing me at all.)
If you have been wondering any of those things, boy – are you going to be sorry!
For the past few weeks I have been drowning in a sea of edits, corrections, .PDF documents, cover designs and all the delights (read: headaches) that Createspace, the POD service I’m using to print Mousetrapped, has to offer.
But that’s over now. As I type, the completed proof copy is on its way to me on the magical wings of the postal service and as long as there isn’t a great big splotch of palm tree in a place there shouldn’t be, we are pretty much ready to do this thing. Which means I am once again free to blog.
The thing is, I’m supposed to blogging about my self-printing adventures, only thanks to my self-printing adventures, I’m now a bit behind. It just wouldn’t do to bring out Mousetrapped and then turn around and tell you, after the fact, how I did it, or how many times during the process I climbed under my duvet and ate Things Made Of Chocolate because it wasn’t going well. (Smashwords, I’m looking at you.) So brace yourself, you seven or so people who read this blog, because for the next two weeks there’s going to be a serious amount of posting going on.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
