Thank you once again to everyone who entered and John Gowan of Cork Coffee Roasters for supplying the prize.
To celebrate the launch of this sparkly new site, I am having a Twitter contest. And as you may have guessed from the title of this post, the prize is one of my favourite things, COFFEE.
The fantastic folks at Cork’s Coffee Roasters have generously given me three bags of their yummy coffee which is roasted right here in Cork, Ireland, and one of my personal faves, especially for constant consumption on those long writing days. Amazingly, I have managed not to break into them myself and will instead give them to you nice people.
I have a bag of their Rebel City Espresso Blend, a bag of Morning Growler and a bag of my personal fave, Summerhill Blend.
I’ll pick 3 winners from my NASA hat (literally, although it’s more of a baseball cap) and each one will get a bag of Cork’s Coffee Roasters ground coffee delivered right to their door, wherever they are are in the world.
“How do I enter?” I hear you say. Well, you have three options:
You can either tweet about the contest
(see my Twitter page for retweetable tweets)
Tweet a link to anything on this site (and I do mean anything)
Mention me (@cathryanhoward) and coffee in a tweet.
NB: You must use the hashtag #corkcoffee.
Every tweet with the #corkcoffee hashtag is a pink Post-It note with your name on it in my NASA baseball cap, so feel free to enter as many times as you like without getting spammy about it.
The contest will run from one minute past midnight on Sunday 31st January until midnight on Monday 1st. All times are GMT. Winners will be announced on Tuesday 2nd and prizes will be posted no later than Friday 5th February.
If you’re not on Twitter but are desperate for a bag of Cork-roasted coffee, you can still enter by linking to this site from your blog or sharing a link on it on your Facebook page. Simply post the link and e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know and you’ll get your very own Post-It note.
Don’t say I never give you anything! 😉
Only the best place in Cork City to have a cup of caffeine!
Cork Coffee Roasters is a Cork City based Coffee Company specialising in small-batch coffee roasting and espresso preparation, and espresso equipment. They hand-roast in very small batches and on traditional machines, using methods honed over centuries. Their focus is always on the finished coffee product in the cup. You can purchase their delicious coffee from their store on Bridge Street in Cork City or stop there to enjoy a freshly brewed cup.
I discovered Cork Coffee Roasters when I was hiding away in a cottage by the seaside writing the first draft of my novel and stumbled upon their Morning Growler blend in Ballymaloe Cookery School’s shop. Much thanks to their master roaster, John Gowan, for generously supplying the prize.
